Authorisation is the REACH process for controlling the risk of substances of very high concern (SVHC) by authorising only specific uses.
The authorisation process aims to ensure that companies replace Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) with less hazardous substances or technologies if technically and economically feasible alternatives are available. Substances included in Annex XIV of REACH (“Authorisation List”) cannot be placed on the market or used after the designated “sunset date” unless an authorisation has been granted for a specific use, or the use has been exempted from authorisation.
ReachCentrum assists companies in performing all the procedures and tasks associated with the REACH authorisation process.
